Structured Maths Approach Strand

Alongside the full Structured Maths Approach resources supporting number, Structured Maths Approach will be releasing strand resources to support the five other mathematics areas of learning to ensure a comprehensive maths delivery across your school and year coverage. Work has started on this and will be published in 2025 and 2026. 

The strand resources are worked into a two year overview and cycle to ensure all aspects are taught and built on alongside a solid scope and sequence. An even year including four strand aspects of the curriculum and an odd year including another four aspects of the curriculum. These also highlight where assessment opportunities might occur (including pre/post assessment chunks and the SMAAFS assessment). 

This overview is currently available only in a pdf version with editable or online planning versions coming for 2025.
