Auckland Workshop

 Providing teachers new to Structured Maths Approach with the key fundamentals to begin their journey. 

Come along to the next in person Structured Maths Approach workshops to hear more about the approach in-depth. This workshop will be held in Auckland, New Zealand at the Mrs Priestley ICT HQ Space.

This workshop is perfect for those teachers who are looking for some insight into how to use the approach in their classroom and are new to its implementation. This could be for your team of teachers or you as an individual.

When: Friday 23 January 2026, 9.30am-1.30pm.

The workshop price of $230 includes GST of 15% and comes with a choice of Structured Maths Approach resource. (The workshop is available without a choice of resource if you already have the one you are after)

The workshop will cover:

  • introduction on the why, how and what of Structured Maths Approach
  • what SMA is informed by and the research behind SMA
  • how it links to New Zealand curriculum 
  • walking through the resource (all parts of the book, lesson plans, teaching slides and resources)
  • going through scope and sequence of SMA
  • modelling lessons
  • running through assessments (assessment checks, snapshots, SMAAFS and the New Entrant Assessment)
  • Q&A time

FAQ's about the workshop:

  • There are limited numbers of spaces in this workshop.
  • You will receive a copy of the workshop slides plus other printables to set you up for your SMA journey. This ticket includes your choice of resource which you will receive on the day and a goodie bag. 
  • This includes coffee and snacks for the workshop.
  • Ticket costs will not be refunded for no-shows on the day of the workshop.
  • Your workshop ticket covers just one teacher registration. Please purchase more tickets if there is more than one teaching attending with you.
